DORCHESTER, MA — Rodman Ride for Kids September 26, 2020 — For the past 30 years, the Rodman Ride for Kids has been the #1 one-day athletic event supporting kids in the nation and this year is no different! With COVID-19, there was a fear of canceling this year’s Ride, but we cannot give up and will not give up helping kids! We are giving you the opportunity to help. Whether you get on a bike, create your own adventure or just spread the word – you’re making a difference! We know that fundraising now is difficult, but like any challenge – we need to face it head on together!
Our beloved Board Member Don Rodman who was such a great leader, philanthropist and supporter of BGCD said “people give to people and it’s not for me, it is for the kids”.
Rodman Ride for Kids has a special incentive for Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester. We need 25 BGCD team members to register in the month of July. Each participant will commit to raising $300 by Ride day in September, which totals $7,500. The Ride will then match at an additional $200 per rider, which means a $5,000 going to BGCD!
