BOSTON, MA – On Sunday May 19, members of the Keystone Club joined Teen Director, Deron Hines, to volunteer at the MR8 annual Spring Service Day event. The event was hosted at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute and included on-site and off-site service opportunities for individuals and families. The theme for this year’s Spring Service Day was creating a better world for young people.

The projects focused on positively impacting youth populations who may find themselves in need of extra support. Keystone members assisted with set-up, guest directions, volunteer projects and clean-up. They also learned about the direct impact that their work has on the lives of young people who need the support.

For more information on the Keystone Club, or our other Teen Programs, please contact Deron Hines at dhines@bgcdorchester.org.

DORCHESTER, MA — Six BGCD High School members took part in an 8-week personal development course with Kristen Daly, Principal at KDaly Communications.

The “Who Am I” project provided an opportunity for these members to craft a personal message while working on their public speaking skills. To conclude the program, each member delivered their remarks to an audience of friends, family and Club staff to display the skills they have learned throughout their time within the course.

Congratulations to each of the members on successfully completing the program and a special thank you to Kristen Daly for offering the time and expertise to work with each of these outstanding members.

Lastly, thanks to the Blarney Stone for hosting a post-event reception for all that attended and participated.

If you or your organization are interested in partnering with BGCD, please contact Mike Joyce at mjoyce@bgcdorchester.org.
