Rodman Ride for Kids
The Rodman Ride for Kids is an umbrella matching gift charity raising funds for youth focused social-service agencies that support at-risk children in Massachusetts. Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester, along with The Ride and its other affiliated agencies, fundraise year-round, culminating with the annual bike ride event each fall.
In 2012, the Club's Rodman Ride for Kid's Campaign raised $400,000 plus an additional $40,000 from the 10% match from the Rodman Ride for a record-breaking campaign total of $440,000! Thank you to each of you who donated and to the Club's campaign co-chairs and Board Members, Paul Gannon and T.J. Burnieika.
The more than 40 local non-profit organizations involved in the Rodman Ride for Kids raised an outstanding $10.3 million in 2012, an increase of nearly 15% over the previous year. Congratulations and thank you to our Board Member, Don Rodman, for success in raising over $71 million since 1991!
2013 starts our 23rd year in the Rodman Ride and we look forward to, once again, exceeding this year's goal. If you'd like to kick-off our 2013 campaign with a pledge or donation, please contact Heather Brigham (617-288-7120 or hbrigham@bgcdorchester.org).
