Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester celebrated the achievements of six accomplished women at the 19th annual New England Women’s Leadership Awards (NEWLA), which took place Thursday, May 12th at the World Trade Center in Boston.
Each of the honorees was presented an award by a member of the Club.
The event was chaired by Linda Pizzuti Henry, and was moderated by Lisa Hughes of WBZ-TV, who has been involved with the event for eight years. “Club Glee”, one of the many music groups at the Club performed at the event.
This year’s honorees included:

Twenty club members performed at the event as part of “Club Glee”
This year’s keynote speaker was Aisling Kerr, a 17 year old junior and long-time Club member.
